Quota Collect

Quench in our hearts, O Lord, all fires of selfishness,
Unfold to us the joys of true friendship,
Open our minds to a better understanding of service,
Teach us the real meaning of sharing,
And help us to hold high those principles of Quota for which we stand

We also choose a Community Champion each year.  We chose Sue Prokop of The Chrysalis Adventure.  What she did not know was, her nomination goes up against all of our other clubs in our district.  She was also the winner of our District.

6th District Conference...

May 3rd thru the 5th, the 6th District held their annual conference at the Amish Door in Wilmont, Ohio.  The theme for the conference was "Country Fair".  The host club was Orrville.
We had a fun night where we tried our luck a different Fair games.  Had a Centerpiece contest and a baking contest.  3 of our members won ribbons for their baking talents.

Geri, Kay and Beth our Award Winning Bakers

After a few hours of meetings and discussion, we were given time to shop in Amish country.
We had an Installation Dinner where we were entertained by a local clogger group and learned to square dance.

Sunday is time for Awards.  Our club nominated Susan Prokop of the Chrysalis Adventure as our Community Champion.  This is Horse Therapy Farm in Hambden, Ohio.  We are proud to announce that our Community Champion was chosen by the District as the over-all winner this year.
Awards are also given to different service projects...such as Speech and Hearing, Women and Children in need and Fundraising.  There are so many great things Quota is doing right here in Ohio.  Congratulations to all the other club winners.  The last award is the "Award of Excellence".  This award is given to a club for their all-around efforts in their club and community.

AND THE WINNER IS...LAKE COUNTY!!!!

As President, I am so proud of my club and each member in it!  We worked very hard to get this award and it was a huge surprise!  We did not expect it!

At the end of conference, the next club to host the conference the following year does a small presentation...

In 2014 Quota of Lake County will be hosting it at Quail Hollow.  We will be
"ROCKING INTO A NEW ERA OF QUOTA!"
