Quota Collect

Quench in our hearts, O Lord, all fires of selfishness,
Unfold to us the joys of true friendship,
Open our minds to a better understanding of service,
Teach us the real meaning of sharing,
And help us to hold high those principles of Quota for which we stand

MAKE A DIFFERENCE DAY

This year once again, we participated in "Make a Difference Day".  We chose to take over a local project for the day:
"Clothe -A- Child".
Clothe-A-Child (CAC) pairs a shopper with a child. Each shopper is given a budget and takes the child chopping for shoes and clothes.  Payless Shoes and Sears are amazing supporters of this project.  This is where all the shopping is done.  These stores have special discounts for CAC.  There is also table Coordinators that help organize the shoppers and children.

It is truly a special time to take one of these children shopping and let them pick out what they want.  It is a fun time for both the child and the shopper.

QUARTERS FOR CAMPERS

We held our annual "Quarters for Campers" Auction again this year.  To date it was our largest success for this event.

Thank you to all our vendors and guests that came out to support us.

We will send a child to camp next summer.

Scholarships

On June 8th we hosted a pot luck picnic for our scholarship recipients.  It is a great evening of food, fun and fellowship!

We were at Concord Woods in Concord, Ohio.  Ham and all the accompaniments.  Nobody leaves hungry.  Our students and family come and enjoy an evening with us.  It is also a great evening for our family members to come and share in our evening.  They are our backbone.  They allow us to give our time helping others!!

This year we gave 4 - $1000 and 2 - $500 scholarships.  We also were honored to give an additional $1000 scholarship in honor of Austin Stadel.  It was presented by his son Dick Stadel.

Money raised from our Chinese Auction supports the scholarships.  We THANK YOU for your support that allows us to do this!

Once again, Quota of Lake County members helped with the North Mentor Centenary United Methodist Church Easter Egg Hunt.

We helped with crafts such as egg decorating, bucket decorating (used to collect eggs and candy), coloring pages and more.

There was an Easter Bunny and a special visit from Chuckey the mouse from Chuckey Cheese!  He was vey popular.

There was a Therapy area where kids could pet dogs, bunnies and geuinea  pigs

It is such a rewarding experience.
